Job Offer DataStage Developer

DataStage Developer Australia's largest international insurance company is looking for an experienced DataStage Developer. In this role you will design and develop new ETL applications and provide support for existing ETL applications.

Examples of responsibilities you will undertake in this role include Design and development of new ETL applications as well as provide production support for existing ETL applications. Responsibility for creating program specifications, construction, unit testing, system testing, user test support, and implementation activities for assigned projects. Responsibility for technical analysis and design of system requests, production problems, and/or functional requirements. The provision of time estimates and control progress of assigned projects. Provide manager/team leader with accurate feedback on project status. Creation of system test plans and follow through with the testing and documenting of the test results. Assistance with the technical guidance and training of other staff members.

To be successful in this role you will need
Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience. Strong development experience with IBM DataStage Server/Enterprise Edition Version 7.x is required. 2+ years of recent development work with DataStage. Must have experience using DataStage with DB2 V8.x and Oracle V9.x in AIX/Unix platform. Must have experience of writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures on DB2 and Oracle platforms. Must have experience of writing AIX/Unix Script. General knowledge of Business Intelligence or Datawarehouse concepts is a must and experience of working in Business Intelligence or Datawarehouse domain of Finance/Insurance industry. Experience of working in a multicultural team. Good written and spoken communication. Experience of using Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Visio, etc) for producing reports. Your demonstrable record of success coupled with your ability to work in a project environment will ensure a strong platform for your success.
